He is proficient in different minimally invasive and open surgeries which encompasses also cancer surgeries. His special areas of interest are Bariatric Surgeries, Laparoscopic Hernia Surgeries including the complex ones, Laparoscopic Difficult Gall Bladder Surgeries, Abdominal Cancer Surgeries.

He is specially trained in Bariatric Surgery( Obesity Ameliorating Surgery) from two internationally celebrated institutes which are considered ace in its kind, AIIMS, Delhi and IRCAD, France.

He completed his M.B.B.S from North Bengal Medical College & Hospital in 2008, triumphed the formidable entry of specialisation and completed his Masters in Surgery (M.S) in 2012 from the prestigious I.P.G.M.E&R and S.S.K.M Hospital, Kolkata. During this journey, he championed the First Certificate of Merit in Surgery as an appreciation of his proficiency as a trainee.

He served in the capacity of Senior Registrar, Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, School of Digestive and Liver Diseases, S.S.K.M Hospital, Kolkata which honed his depth in complex cases of abdominal surgical illness. He acquired Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.M.A.S) from the prestigious national body, AMASI.

He served as a teaching faculty mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical Education Service, Govt. of West Bengal for 5 years.

At present he is an academic and research guide of Surgical Trainees of DNB curriculum in his hospital.

Out of the professional arena, he is very much interested in reading books of different genres, creative writing, film and music of different genres.
